Who are we?
We are an association whose objective
is to develop and strengthen a national support system offering
mentoring relationships, networking and educational opportunities
for social service professionals who serve older adults. You may
view our Mission Statement, as well as useful Resources offered
by NAFSSP.
Who is a social service professional?
Any person who has:
A degree in social work, psychology,
sociology, human services, nursing, gerontology, education
OR ---
Is performing a social service
activity such as:
Conducting interviews
Conducting assessments
Providing counseling
Providing information or referral services
Assisting in placements
Providing advocacy services
or assistance in wellness care

an NAFSSP Member?
The primary goal of the association is to increase your skills and
professional contacts to enhance your confidence in providing quality
services to older adults in both your professional and personal
life. Your skills and experience are also needed in a mentoring
role for those colleagues who have expressed the need for someone
in their community to be available to them in addressing issues
in their work place.
